We’ve added support for up to 5 workspaces on the RunCloud Enterprise plan.

This update expands on the existing Workspaces feature and is especially useful for teams managing multiple environments, brands, or client setups.

What’s new

• Enterprise accounts can now create and manage up to 5 workspaces
• Continue to be a member of unlimited invited workspaces
• Easily separate teams, projects, or environments within a single Enterprise account

The feature is available immediately and requires no changes to existing setups.

You can now fully restart your server directly from within the RunCloud dashboard.

This gives you a fast, controlled way to apply system-level updates, recover from instability, or resolve deep system issues without leaving your RunCloud dashboard.

How to Restart Your Server

In your RunCloud dashboard, navigate to the server you want to restart: 

From here, you can either:

Open the Quick Actions menu, as shown below,

Or, alternatively, navigate to the server’s Settings area and click Restart Server.

And then, click Restart Server.

Upon doing so, you'll be prompted to confirm that you wish to proceed in the modal. 

Once confirmed, your server will begin the restart process.

Restart vs. Reload – What’s the Difference?

Before performing a full server reboot, consider whether a service reload is sufficient.

From the Services tab, you can choose to Reload or Restart individual services, such as:

• NGINX
• OpenLiteSpeed
• PHP-FPM versions
• MariaDB

Reloading a service tells it to re-read its configuration files without terminating the main process or dropping active connections. This is the preferred approach when applying configuration changes.

Restarting a service stops and starts that specific service, which may cause brief downtime for that component.

A full server restart should only be used when necessary, such as:

• Kernel or operating system updates
• A completely unresponsive server
• Deep memory leaks are not resolved by restarting individual services

OpenLiteSpeed 1.8.5 Release

This release incorporates fixes from the official OpenLiteSpeed 1.8.x branch, focusing on internal stability, protocol handling, and minor edge-case corrections.

Email Notifications and Critical Email Delivery Updates

We’ve also released improvements to our email notification system:

Reduced Email Volume

• Channel-based filtering: We’ve reduced the number of direct emails for notifications that are already assigned to a specific channel (e.g., Server Health).
• Fallback logic: If no channel is assigned to a notification, it will fall back to the user/owner’s email. However, if a channel is assigned, the notification will be sent only to that channel and not to the user/owner’s inbox.

Auto-Unsuppression for Critical Emails

• Priority delivery: Important emails, such as authentication, subscription, team invitations, and verification alerts, will now be automatically unsuppressed. This ensures users receive essential communications even if their email address was previously flagged or suppressed (due to emails failing to deliver and bouncing back several times). 

PHP Updates Now Available for NGINX

• PHP 8.4.16

• PHP 8.1.34

Note: If your server runs on OpenLiteSpeed, RunCloud does not handle PHP version updates. However, once a PHP version update becomes available for OpenLiteSpeed, it should also be automatically available on your server(s).

Deleting a server or web application can sometimes leave DNS records behind. If that IP address (or target) is later reassigned, your domain could unexpectedly start pointing somewhere else – commonly referred to as dangling DNS and subdomain takeover.

RunCloud now gives you an option to automatically remove DNS records.

This can be done when deleting a web application:

We’ve launched Web App Maintenance Mode, a new feature that lets you temporarily disable any web application without deleting it.

This makes it easy to perform development, debugging, migrations, or simply pause unused sites – all while keeping your files and configurations intact. 

What’s new

• Easily enable maintenance mode for any web application without removing it – all data and configurations will be preserved.
  
  
• Ideal for troubleshooting, maintenance windows, and development work.
  
  
• When ready, simply disable maintenance mode to bring the web application back online. 

This feature is exclusive to Business and Enterprise plans.
